Regulation crowdfunding
The JOBS Act was signed into law on April 5, 2012. To implement it, the SEC adopted Regulation Crowdfunding on October 30, 2015; the rules took effect May 16, 2016. Reg CF lets eligible U.S. companies raise money from the general public through an SEC-registered intermediary (a broker-dealer or funding portal) and includes investor limits, disclosures, and ongoing reporting; click here to learn more.
